Job Description

Responsible for the legal and ethical framework of our AI department, focusing on transparency and fairness. As the AI Compliance & Governance Lead, you will be the guardian of the company’s reputation and legal standing in the age of Artificial Intelligence. You will lead the development of a robust governance framework that ensures all applications of Claude AI are transparent, fair, and fully compliant with emerging global regulations (such as the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and local privacy laws). You will act as the critical bridge between the technical engineering teams and the legal/executive boards, ensuring that "Constitutional AI" principles are not just theoretical, but embedded in every line of code and every business process. Your goal is to foster an environment where AI innovation thrives because it is built on a foundation of trust and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

Auditing AI decisions, managing GDPR/AI Act compliance, and drafting usage policies.

  • Governance Framework Development: Designing and implementing the corporate AI Policy, including acceptable use, data retention, and human-in-the-loop requirements.
    Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all AI products meet the requirements of high-risk AI classification, including technical documentation and post-market monitoring.
    Ethical Auditing: Conducting regular "Bias & Fairness" audits to ensure Claude’s outputs do not discriminate or produce harmful societal impacts.
    Risk Management: Leading the AI Risk Committee to evaluate and approve new AI use cases based on legal, ethical, and reputational risk profiles.
    Stakeholder Advocacy: Serving as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors regarding AI transparency.


Key Activities:

Regulatory reporting, bias monitoring, and privacy impact assessments.


  • Algorithmic Impact Assessments (AIA): Performing deep-dive evaluations of new AI features to identify potential privacy or ethical breaches before deployment.

  • Constitutional AI Alignment: Reviewing system prompts and model configurations to ensure they align with the company's core values and Anthropic’s safety guidelines.

  • Transparency Reporting: Creating "AI FactSheets" or "Model Cards" for internal and external stakeholders that explain how specific AI models work and what data they use.

  • Incident Oversight: Leading the ethical investigation during "AI failures" (e.g., unexpected hallucinations or data leaks) to determine the root cause from a compliance perspective.

  • Training & Evangelism: Conducting workshops for developers on "Privacy by Design" and "Ethics by Design" in LLM development.

Academic Skills and Qualifications

  • Advanced Legal or Policy Degree: A JD (Law Degree) or Master’s in Public Policy/International Law, with a specialized focus on Technology or Digital Markets.

  • AI Governance & Regulatory Theory: Academic mastery of the EU AI Act, the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, and emerging Mexican/LATAM AI guidelines.

  • Algorithmic Accountability: Specialized training in auditing automated decision-making systems for transparency and explainability ("XAI").

  • Real Estate & Financial Law: Deep academic understanding of the Fair Housing Act, RESPA, and consumer protection laws related to lending and property sales.

  • Information Security Governance: Knowledge of ISO/IEC 42001 (the new international standard for AI Management Systems) and ISO 27001.

  • Ethical Reasoning & Philosophy: Academic grounding in ethics to lead the development of the company’s internal "AI Constitution."

  • Data Sovereignty & Privacy Law: Mastery of GDPR and LFPDPPP (Mexico), specifically regarding the cross-border flow of data through AI models.

  • Audit & Assurance Methodologies: Proficiency in designing and executing third-party audits to certify that the AI is non-discriminatory and secure.

  • Risk Quantification: Ability to translate abstract legal risks into mathematical "impact scores" for executive reporting.

  • Technical Policy Writing: Expertise in drafting high-level corporate policies that are legally binding but technically actionable for engineering teams.

  • Stakeholder Diplomacy: Academic or professional training in negotiation and communication with government regulators and industry boards.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Legal or Tech Audit background, knowledge of ISO/IEC 42001.


  • Legal & Tech Hybrid: Deep knowledge of GDPR, the EU AI Act, and ISO/IEC 42001 (AI Management System).

  • Analytical Logic: Ability to interpret complex technical architectures and identify legal vulnerabilities.

  • Communication: Exceptional ability to translate "Black Box" AI concepts into clear legal and business language.

  • Framework Expertise: Experience with NIST AI Risk Management Framework or similar global standards.

  • Technical Literacy: While not a coder, you must understand how RAG, embeddings, and fine-tuning impact data privacy and bias.

Work Experience:

5+ years in Tech Compliance or Legal.

Daily Job Schedule:

The daily job schedule will follow the standard working hours of the company, typically from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, occasional flexibility may be required to meet project deadlines or collaborate with remote team members.
