Job Description

As we deploy AI at a national scale across hundreds of agencies, the legal stakes are incredibly high. You will oversee the intersection of PropTech and Law, specifically focusing on how Claude handles sensitive information like credit scores for Lenders or demographic data for Brokers. You will develop the "Legal Framework" that Claude must follow to avoid discriminatory outcomes (algorithmic bias). You will not just be reviewing contracts; you will be "auditing" the AI’s logic. This includes ensuring that the AI’s automated listings do not violate advertising standards and that its financial advice for Syndication groups is properly disclaimed and compliant with SEC (or local equivalent) guidelines. You are the bridge between the fast-moving world of AI innovation and the rigid, necessary world of legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Bias auditing in AI, review of AI-generated contracts, and regulatory filings.

  • Algorithmic Bias Auditing: Regularly testing Claude’s outputs to ensure the AI is not "redlining" or showing bias against protected classes in property recommendations.

  • Contractual Oversight: Drafting and reviewing the Terms of Service for our AI platform, specifically addressing "AI-generated content" ownership and liability.

  • Privacy by Design: Ensuring that the Data Engineers and Architects build systems that anonymize sensitive financial data before it is processed by the LLM.

  • Compliance Training: Educating the Prompt Engineering and Product teams on legal "no-go" zones in real estate advertising and lending.

  • Regulatory Liaison: Serving as the primary point of contact for legal inquiries or audits regarding our AI’s decision-making processes.

Key Activities:

Drafting terms of service, supervising ethical guardrails for financial agents.

  • Red-Teaming for Compliance: Intentionally trying to get the AI to provide illegal financial advice or discriminatory housing options to find and patch vulnerabilities.

  • Drafting AI Disclaimers: Creating dynamic disclosure statements that the UX/UI Designer will integrate whenever Claude provides a financial projection or a contract summary.

  • Reviewing Data Pipelines: Checking that the property listings and service feeds comply with local real estate board rules regarding data display and copyright.

  • Policy Documentation: Maintaining a "Constitutional AI" log that documents the ethical principles and legal rules the AI is trained to follow.

  • Legislative Monitoring: Keeping up-to-date with new AI regulations (like the EU AI Act or emerging US/LATAM AI laws) to pivot the product strategy accordingly.

Academic Skills and Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD): Must be a licensed attorney with a focus on Real Estate, Intellectual Property, or Technology Law.

  • AI Ethics Certification: Formal education or recognized certification in AI Ethics or Algorithmic Accountability is highly preferred.

  • Privacy Expertise: Deep knowledge of data protection laws such as GDPR, CCPA, or local Mexican data privacy laws (LFPDPPP).

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with the Fair Housing Act, Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA).

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Real Estate Law, GDPR/CCPA, AI Ethics, Fair Housing Act.

  • Legal Analytical Rigor: The ability to read a 200-page regulation and translate it into a simple "logic rule" for a Prompt Engineer to implement.

  • Ethical Judgment: A strong moral compass to prioritize fairness and transparency over aggressive product features.

  • Tech-Savviness: You don't need to code, but you must understand how an API works and what "RAG" means to effectively audit the data flow.

  • Risk Assessment: The ability to quantify the "legal risk" of an AI feature vs. its "business value."

  • Collaborative Diplomacy: Being able to say "no" to a feature for legal reasons while working with the Product Manager to find a compliant "yes."

Work Experience:

5+ years in Legal Compliance or Real Estate Law.

Daily Job Schedule:

The daily job schedule will follow the standard working hours of the company, typically from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, occasional flexibility may be required to meet project deadlines or collaborate with remote team members.
